The “Fran Galović” Library and Reading Room in Koprivnica has generously launched a noble campaign for Latice. On Friday, September 19th from 8 am to 7 pm, you will be able to participate in the event called “Give them a new home”. Deprecated books will be given away, which anyone interested will be able to pick up in front of the Library. The humanitarian nature will be demonstrated by the fact that those who wish to do so can leave a symbolic monetary contribution at the counter of the Adult Department. All money collected will be donated to Latice as a contribution to the purchase of real estate intended for organized housing for people with intellectual disabilities. Let us remind you that the quality cooperation between the Latice Association and the Koprivnica Library and Reading Room has been going on for a long time, and as part of many joint activities, Latice members regularly visit this valuable center of reading and knowledge as volunteers, where they diligently arrange and sort books on the shelves and take care of the tidiness of the space. In this way, mutual benefit is achieved, and our Latice achieve a high level of involvement and positive experiences from everyday life, which increases their level of independence and self-confidence.
