Junior club "Our Angels"

The youth club „Our Angels“ was founded on 26 June 2015. The service users are children with developmental disabilities aged 6 to 21. The establishment was prompted by the fact that the Koprivnica area and its wider surroundings lacked a service providing adequate programmes that would enable school-aged children with developmental disabilities to engage in extracurricular activities. Those that we have planned through this programme take place outside of teaching hours and during school holidays, and they greatly contribute to a better quality of life for children with developmental disabilities. They are tailored to the children's health status in order to fill their time in a high-quality and functional way.

Activities being carried out:

The project is co-financed by the City of Koprivnica and Koprivnica-Križevci County. The implementation period is from 01/06/2026 to 30/11/2026. Through the programme, children participate in musical, art and creative, as well as sports and recreational workshops.
- As part of the art and creative workshops, the partner organisation, the Fran Galović Public Library and Reading Room, also participates, where once a month the librarian organises a workshop for our service users related to literature and the interpretation of literary works in order to encourage creativity and the development of critical thinking in children.
Music workshops consist of learning songs, performances of songs by the leader accompanied by guitar, and singing together with the participants. In addition, rhythmic exercises, ways of creating music, and a music quiz are carried out. At the end of the summer workshops, a short show is organised in which the children perform a musical item with the performer as a summary of all the workshops.
- The sports and recreational workshop contributes to the promotion of health by strengthening the muscular system, improving the cardiovascular system and increasing the range of motion.
