On Sunday, October 16, 2016, the "Latice" association organized the first humanitarian art colony in the beautiful surroundings of the Petar Cik family farm in Virje, where 30 artists gathered.
The Association for Helping People with Intellectual Disabilities “Latice” organized an art colony where paintings were collected to be sold at an auction, which will be organized in December of this year. All citizens will be able to participate in the humanitarian auction by purchasing one or more works of art. With this humane gesture, the funds will be used in the work of the Association. At the invitation of the President of the Association, Ms. Nevenka Fuchs, and the leader of the workshops with users, Ms. Josipa Rasinec, 30 artists responded to the colony. On behalf of the Municipality of Virje, all participants were greeted by the Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Mirko Perok.
The following responded to this humanitarian colony:
Mijo Kovačić from Gornja Šuma. Ivan Andrašić, Dragutin Ciglar and Marina Dvorski from Koprivnica. From HPD "Ferdo Rusan" Virje: Franjo Perović, Josipa Rasinec, Željka Embreuš, Ivančica Hasan, Mirko Pikivača, Martin Hrženjak, From the association "Peski-Art Đurđevac" Petar Petrović, Ivan Rođak, Franjo Mihočka participated in this humanitarian colony with personal participation, and Đurđica Franjić with a donated painting. From the Molvarski art circle: Vladimir Ivančan, Đuro Popec, Đuro Jaković, Josip Gregurić and Josip Tot. From Likresa Novigrad Vesna Križić. From Kloštranska palette: Mato Zeman, Josip Nađ, Terezija Nađi, Svjetlana Blaževski, Martina Fuk. From Delovi Štefanija Vulić, Marta Šimunić, Đurđa Lovnički, Doris Mihoković and Dražen Milenković from Križevci.
After the end of the working part of the art colony, a chestnut festival was organized for all participants and members of the "Latice" Association, and Franjo Barić performed in the musical part.
This art colony was also supported by: OPG Petar Cik, Podravka, dd, Podravka-PULS Volunteer Association, Robi Advertising Studio, Tiskara Brzi, Virje Municipality, Virje Hunting Society, "Zona Tri" Textile Discount Store from Virje.
