On 02.09.2016, the final workshop of the project "We also want a happy childhood" and "Angels through the holidays" co-financed by the City of Koprivnica and the Koprivnica-Križevci County was held at the premises of the CESD Podravsko Sunce. The project was designed within the framework of the Younger Club "Our Angels" of the Association for Assistance to Persons with Intellectual Disabilities "Latice" with the aim of caring for school children with developmental disabilities during the summer and winter holidays. The workshops were held for fifteen children, three times a week for four hours, under the guidance of two leaders, one physiotherapist and ten volunteers, who, given the children's diagnoses, were necessary for the implementation of the project. At the final workshop, the president of the Association Nevenka Fuchs, the children and parents thanked all the leaders and volunteers who selflessly gave part of their time and contributed to the completion of this project and to enabling our Angels to have happy and joyful holidays in socializing and playing, and above all, to put a big smile on the children's faces. Gratitude was also given to the representatives of Podravka and the representatives of the Podravka PULS Volunteer Association who also helped with their donation of Podravka products, whose gesture made the children very happy. All project participants were given symbolic gifts. Parents, leaders and volunteers filled out evaluation lists, and in this way expressed their opinions and suggestions with the aim of enabling their children to have the best possible rehabilitation during the school holidays next year. At the end of the workshop, the "Latice" Association agreed on further cooperation with the Podravka PULS Volunteer Association, which is of great importance for the "Latice" Association in their continued efforts to grow and develop the Association, and gives the Association further impetus for the growth and development of new social services that are missing and that would significantly contribute to the well-being of children with developmental disabilities as well as people with intellectual disabilities.
