Art Center Ješkovo – Ceramics Workshop

On September 28th, the Latica Association organized and held the first of two ceramics workshops planned under the "BE SUPPORT FOR US" program, funded by the Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy, for its members and users of the "Latica" club (people with intellectual disabilities over the age of 21).
The ceramics workshop is led by Dragutin Ciglar, an internationally recognized artist, sculptor and founder of the "Educational Camp "Ješkovo", which is dedicated tolj that gifted children and young people learn all about ceramics and sculpture under the mentorship of famous sculpture artists.

Upon arrival at the Ješkovo Art Center, we toured the center in a relaxed atmosphere and walked to the Drava River. After the walk, preparations for the workshop began.
Deputy Mayor Ratimir Ljubić, with his arrival and words, gave us great support.
Thank you, Mr. Deputy Mayor.

Mr. Ciglar explained to the users the processes of how ceramic works are created. After the theoretical part and instructions, we started with clay modeling on the topic "Our City of Koprivnica".
Interesting works were created, which after drying will go into further processing planned for our second workshop in the middle of next week.
We are very satisfied with the organization of this workshop in nature and the almost professional approach of our users towards modeling and creating the works.
Spending time in nature, socializing, thematic work and learning contribute to a better understanding of one's own personality and ultimately to user satisfaction.

This is just one in a series of activities planned under the three-year "BE SUPPORT FOR US" program that began in June.
A new activity begins in October: introducing and involving users in music and dance workshops, thus contributing to the preservation of traditional culture.
