Working visit of Rettet-das-Kind to Eisenstad

On Tuesday, May 30, 2017, the “Latice” association was on a working visit to Eisenstad, Rettet-das Kind.
The visit was part of the project "New challenges for children with disabilities" funded by the "Alps Adriatic Alliance" competition from Austria and the Koprivnica-Križevci County, where, in addition to Rettet-das-Kind from Eisenstadt and Sončeko, the Cerebral Palsy Association from Maribor is also one of our partners.
The aim of this working visit was to exchange experience and knowledge. This working visit was joined by Dr. Andrea Polovina and Tanja Laktašić, senior physiotherapist from the Polyclinic for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Prof. Dr.Sc. Milena Stoječvić Polovina" from Zagreb.
At the very beginning of the visit, our hosts, Dr. Elisabeth Scheikl-Pourkhalil, introduced themselves and presented the work of the organization.
Rettet-das-Kind has a highly developed mobile network that is responsible for the education and maintenance of the mental and physical health of people with disabilities, children with behavioral disorders and children with language problems from birth to school age. Rettet-das-Kind covers the entire province of Burgenland. More than 40 experts from various fields work with children. The forms of therapy are selected according to the needs of the child
The work of the Latice Association was presented by the president of the Association Nevenka Fuchs, the emphasis was on the project that is being implemented with our foreign partners, which is the rehabilitation of children with developmental disabilities. So, Dr. Andrea Polovina also presented us with the rehabilitation programs implemented by the Polyclinic for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Prof.dr.sc.Milena Stoječvić Polovina". Dražen Novačić, Ivančica Cvelber and Armelija Fijačko also attended on behalf of the Latice Association.
After the presentation, we all concluded that this was a good start to cooperation that we must continue in the future. It is precisely through such partnerships and networking of similar associations that we can contribute to a better quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and children with developmental disabilities.
